Our Approach

We have been educating and caring for children in the Orange Park community since 1992. Our teachers are experienced professionals who are CPR and First Aid certified, and many carry advanced degrees in child development.  All teachers are required to take annual training classes and many are continuing their education to better educate your children. Our top priority is for your child to feel at home and loved while providing a safe, yet fun, environment. We use developmentally age appropriate programs, and practices to equip children with the values, skills, and confidence needed to be successful in life.  We respect children for who they are, not who we think they should be. At Gingerbread, we work with each child on a level that best suits his or her needs. Our devoted teachers take a child's curious nature, and love for play in to account. They use it as a guideline to make lesson plans that help educate your child in all areas, while being fun and engaging.

We know that leaving your child in the care of others can be a difficult thing to do, so at Gingerbread we want you to feel like part of the family too. We believe that parents should have the opportunity to stop in to visit and engage with their children throughout the day, so we have established and Open Door policy. We welcome parents to stop by anytime, no notice necessary.  At Gingerbread we take nutrition seriously and participate in the USDA Childcare food Program. We include all meals and snacks in all programs. Every child matters to us here regardless of the family's means. We accept Episcopal vouchers and JCC subsidies, and we also provide a  free 3 year old program called "Success by 6" for qualifying students. You can find more information on these programs by following the links below.
